Stodůlky Villas as part of the award-winning Arcus City project. Building of the Year in the Capital City of Prague 2025

Arcus City in a location on the border of Řeporyjí and Stodůlky has won the title of Building of the Year in the Capital City of Prague 2025, thereby confirming the quality of its urban design and the overall concept of the new city district. This project also includes Stodůlky Villas, exclusively represented by the real estate agency Homeland, which benefits from all the benefits of the award-winning location.

Arcus City, which was chosen by the Foundation for the Development of Architecture and Construction from among 36 projects as the Prague Building of the Year, was built on the site of a former brickyard. Today, it forms a comprehensive urban structure that combines housing, services and public spaces in a logical and natural arrangement. The expert jury particularly appreciated the thoughtful work with public space, the sensitive integration of the development into the landscape and the emphasis on connecting modern housing with greenery. A significant element is also the selected apartment buildings built using modern wooden CLT structures, which represent a progressive direction in contemporary housing construction.

The result is a district that was not created as an isolated residential complex, but as a full-fledged urban environment with a center, streets and a clear structure of movement. The emphasis on pedestrian permeability, accessibility of civic amenities and quality public space creates an environment that supports everyday life and the natural functioning of the entire location throughout the day and year.

The Stodůlky villas thus naturally follow the qualities of the entire location. They offer living in an environment with plenty of greenery, a quiet residential character and at the same time excellent accessibility to all services within walking distance. Thanks to the connection with the broader urban concept of Arcus City, they benefit from the thoughtful planning of the entire district, which emphasizes comfort, functionality and long-term sustainability. Several projects were awarded

This year's competition also presented a number of other awarded projects that confirm the high level of contemporary architecture and construction in Prague. Among them, for example, the U Milosrdných Residence in Prague 1, awarded for its sensitive connection of modern architecture with the historical environment, or the Fairmont Golden Prague hotel, highlighted for its significant contribution to the restoration of architectural heritage.

The jury was also impressed by the new Hloubětín depot, awarded for its technical and structural solutions with an emphasis on rainwater management and the inclusion of greenery in the area. The public awards went to projects focused on the reconstruction and revitalization of historical buildings and public spaces, which contribute to improving the quality of the urban environment in the long term.
